Advice on COVID-19 outbreak (Coronavirus)

As ‘Step 3’ of the Government Roadmap commences on Monday, we are pleased to return to our hybrid rehearsal format: rehearsing outdoors at St Crispin’s School (RG40 1SS) and on Zoom at the same time. Later in the term, when safely possible, we are looking to move back indoors, including to Birch Hill for Bracknell Choir.
All persons wishing to attend a live rehearsal will need to register.

7th November 2020
We now have confirmation from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport that non-professional music activity cannot take place during the national lockdown. This means that, for the coming weeks, we will host rehearsals on Zoom only, as we did previously in the Summer term. We hope to be able to resume in-person rehearsals from Weds 2nd Dec onwards, when the lockdown is expected to end.

7th September 2020
In accordance with the latest government guidelines, both of our choirs will return to ‘live’ singing once again. Rehearsals will also be streamed online for those unable to attend in person.

All rehearsals are now suspended. Choir members are requested to check their email’s for updates or visit the members area. Once a return date has been finalised, it will be published on the website and to members via email.

In light of the Coronavirus outbreak, all our venues have taken measures to enhance their usual cleaning procedures, and both regular venues are installing hand sanitiser dispensers at entrances. Rehearsals will continue to run as normal and we will advise on any necessary future changes. In any case, for members and audiences, we encourage regular handwashing, to avoid attending rehearsals and events if you feel unwell, and to follow the regularly updated government guidelines.
