We eagerly anticipate news about May 17th, when we hope we will be able to start in-person, outdoor rehearsals again – this is if ‘Step 3’ of the roadmap is confirmed for that date. We will keep you updated in the coming week.
I have listed three new pieces which we will look at in the coming weeks, in addition to those we are currently singing – two more choral gems for Wokingham and for Bracknell a new arrangement of the John Denver song ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’!
Finally, some very sad news to share, from Ann Stainton:
We are sorry indeed to hear the sad news that Ann Wilson has passed away. Many members will remember the sisters, Ann and June, who joined Sing Healthy for The Armed Man and subsequently attended both choirs from time to time. They were great supporters of all our concerts and sing-outs, often in the front row when not performing themselves. In addition to singing, Ann loved dancing with Hurst Morris People and was a member of Marlow Ukulele group. Ann was treated for cancer during last year and her funeral will be on 18th May in Banbury which is where June now lives. Donations in Ann’s memory can be made to Cancer Research
We shall miss her friendly, sociable nature, her smiling face and willingness to have a go at everything new.
We’ll send a card to June from SH with our sincere sympathies and many fond memories.
