Single Choir

If you join one of our choirs, the cost is £6.50 per week, or £20/month

Occasionally we use booklets for which we ask you to pay the actual cost - the choir makes no profit from the sale of published music scores.  We email links out to members to allow them to print their own music, all of which is available within the members area.  Loan packs are made available to those attending a taster session.

Both Choirs

If you join both
of our choirs,
the cost is £28/month.

Sing Healthy Wokingham Choir - About the choir

singhealthychoirs - Wokingham Community ChoirThis concert choir performed at a sell-out performance of The Armed Man by Karl Jenkins in Reading Hexagon in November 2014. This choir is made up of singers who want to challenge their musical experience by performing classic choral works as well as a range of modern popular music. The fact that this is a concert choir does not mean we have different joining criteria – we don’t. All our singers are recruited in the same way and we have many who sing in more than one choir. The thing they all have in common is their desire to tackle more interesting and some would say challenging pieces. We are not a Choral Society in the traditional sense, but we do want to broaden the musical range so as to give the singer and audience alike a new concert experience. Our 2015 Christmas Concert held on 20th December 2015 in Reading Concert Hall featured The Berkshire Youth Symphony Orchestra, The Coombes School Choir and was hosted by Paul Ross.

As an example of what we sing; The 2016 concert programme featured works by Sir Karl Jenkins, Gustav Holst, Sir Michael Tippet, Bob Chilcott and John Rutter. This music was supplemented by more modern classical contributions like Les Miserable and West Side Story.

We do try to perform a major concert, with full orchestra, at least once a year. It is important to stress that participation in any of our concerts is entirely down to the individual choir member.   If you ever feel the music is too challenging, you can move to one of our other choirs. There is no pressure to perform! The only commitment we would ever ask of our choir members is to enjoy singing.
