Thank you all for a fantastic term of singing. It was joyous to return to indoor rehearsals and to have our first indoor concert of two years. Thanks also for your efforts following our Covid guidelines – to the best of our knowledge, these collective efforts have prevented any transmission during this term and last.
We are grateful to many people for making our Christmas Concert such a success. To section leads, our trustees, Gill Coulson, Mike Hardman, Chris Wright, to all our refreshment and FoH volunteers, those who brought cakes, Lynn Marshall and all who donated items for an amazing raffle – an enormous thank you!
We’re also so grateful to all those that are part of the set-up and running of rehearsals every week – Ann St, Ann Sh, Nicky, Marilyn, Paul D, Nigel, Paul B and Kieth – a big thank you to you too!
And finally – of course – to everyone in Bracknell and Wokingham Choirs for your amazing singing!
We are delighted to say that we raised over £1200 – final figure TBC – for The Cowshed.
We should also have some video footage of the concert to share soon.
Lastly, thank you to all who have taken part in our Christmas sing-outs. We’d like to pass on this message from Royal Berks Charity – I’m sure this sentiment is broadly shared by all those we have sung for this year:
Please send our thanks to everyone that recently took part in one of the “singing around the Christmas trees” which you kindly put together a super choir for all to hear. It is lovely that at a time where it has been difficult to give performances that by coming along and singing outdoors not only did it give you the opportunity to perform for others, but you also gave great enjoyment to those that heard you. The feedback I have received has been so positive and well received and we could not of achieved this without your help and support.
We wish you a great Christmas Break and look forward to seeing you in the New Year. We’ll be in touch again with more info for the start of next term which will be on January 10th for Wokingham and January 12th for Bracknell.
Many thanks,
Louise
Thankyou Kieran and Louise for all your support throughout the year,
Rain, wind or traffic jambs, don’t stop you, and your patience with US
