We hope you have had a great summer break. We’ll be starting back rehearsals for the Autumn term on Monday 5th September for Wokingham and Wednesday 7th September for Bracknell, at the usual time, 7.30pm. Wokingham Choir: don’t forget we will be rehearsing in our new venue – St Crispin’s Sixth Form Atrium (RG40 1SS). Parking is in the main St Crispin’s School Car Park, to the left of the entrance. Bracknell choir will of course stay at Birch Hill!

Please see lists of repertoires below for each choir for September and October – please print and bring along these pieces.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Many thanks for your attention,

Louise

Bracknell Choir – September & October

We will start the term with two new musical songs with the plan of a ’show tunes’-themed concert next year. We will then rehearse some Christmas repertoire for our Christmas Concert.

Wokingham Choir – September & October (for November 12th Concert – 7.30pm at Wokingham Baptist Church with Berkshire Maestros Camerata – running order TBC)

Recordings are available in the links below, along with training files for most of the pieces.

Camerata will also perform some string orchestra pieces.

Further Ahead – Both Choirs: Christmas Concert – December 10th – 7.30pm at Wokingham Baptist Church (with Euchar on organ)

For Wokingham we will have a quick rehearsal period for Christmas after the November concert. With this considered, we will sing the lovely ‘Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring’  and also bring back the Vivaldi Gloria (1st mvnt).

Along with Christmas pieces for Bracknell choir (above), we will have some old favourites for both choirs including ‘Carol of the Bells’ (by Ukrainian composer Leontovych) and ‘The Crown of Roses’, and a new festive piece ‘Feliz Navidad’
