I am looking forward to our Community Showcase concert on July 14 at Garth Community College Theatre.  Its in aid of a Ugandan children’s rehabilitation centre and I know many people will be deeply touched by the charity we are raising money for.

I have always made it my rationale to raise money for charities that are not among the mainstream, but those charities that touch me through the work they do.  We get so much call upon our time and money and it would be impossible to satisfy all the requests we get.  We can only hope to do a small thing for any one charity, but if what we do actually does change, benefit or positively affect the life of conditions for just one child then we really have done something right.  Whilst the charities I choose for the choir may not have been known to you, I do hope you will see why we choose the ones we do.  IF you have suggestions for future beneficiaries, please do contact me and tell me about them.

At the July concert the choir will be singing the following songs:

Rhythm of Life

One Love

Oklahoma Medley

Perhaps Love

The Lord is MY shepherd

Make You Feel My Love

Razzle Dazzle

All you Need is Love (Beatles Medley)

IT Don’t Mean a Thing if it Ain’t got that Swing

Lots of work to do with extra rehearsals along the way.  First of these 9 June – Ladies at 11am, Gentlemen at 12,30pm at Methodist Church Rose Street

I do hope that all choir members will enjoy the songs.  I know the audiences will.
