Running for Dad

On the 18th March 2018, Rachel Charters will be running the Reading Half Marathon in memory of her father and our founder, Dorian Edwards.   She explains below her reasons for running and why she chose to support CLASP.

On the 21st March this year we said the saddest goodbye to my Dad.  Someone who believed that everyone had a place in this world, that everyone had something to offer and that no one should be ignored.  He was taken very quickly with a stroke and has left a hole in our lives that can never be filled.   My cousin and I have decided to run the Reading Half Marathon to raise money to support a charity that Dad did a lot of work with, CLASP. He believed that all the people in there deserved the chance to sing, to find their inner voice and feel a value in society. We would like to continue to support this amazing charity that Dad held close to his heart and help them to grow and prosper as he had helped them do so much through the power of song.  Thank you in advance for anything you can give xx
