Rehearsal Attendance Information
We greatly appreciate all the responses (91 in total) from our survey. We have considered these carefully when planning. This is the key information:
- At the time of surveying, 97% of responders were fully vaccinated. A further 2% had a single dose.
- We will return to indoor rehearsals (no Zoom). We will keep windows/doors open to ensure max. ventilation. We will use the venues’ chairs, though you are welcome to bring a cushion/covering. (Survey shows 99% willing to attend indoors, inc. 18% dependent on mitigations)
- Distancing: we will be two arm-lengths apart (c.1.5m), though you are welcome to adjust individually (93% willing to be 1.5m apart or less)
- Masks: please wear for arrival/departure. We do not require you to wear a mask for singing, but please feel free to do so if you prefer. (‘singing masks’ might be of interest – see examples here and here)
- Tests: for everyone’s safety and reassurance, we would appreciate you taking a Lateral Flow Test ahead of each rehearsal. Free test kits are available at pharmacies and to order here. Please do not attend if you test positive or have any Covid-19 symptoms.
- Break/Refreshments: We will have mid-rehearsal breaks, vacating the main room to ventilate. Please bring your own refreshments for the first week – we will discuss tea/coffee options in-person for future rehearsals.
- Sheet Music: If possible, please continue to print and bring your own score copies (as listed below).
- We will continue to monitor, and act on, national and local Covid-19 information.
- Advanced sign-up is no longer required!
If you have any concerns or queries, please do get in touch.
n.b. Wokingham Choir
The offer of the Atrium space at St Crispin’s was withdrawn for this term, but if it becomes available in the future, we will keep the space in mind given your positive survey responses.
Events/Music
We plan to hold a Christmas concert for both choirs on Saturday 11th December at Wokingham Baptist Church (RG40 1DE), accompanied by organ. Please keep the afternoon and evening free. We’ll have a mixture of traditional and more modern festive music, inc. several joint pieces and some for each choir individually. We will start some of these at the beginning of term (plus a couple of non-Christmas pieces for Bracknell). As always, piece suggestions are welcome to add to our lists!
Looking further ahead, we aim to hold our postponed Faure Requiem concert in the Spring or Summer term 2022.
We are really looking forward to starting back indoor rehearsals, see you soon!
Many thanks for your attention,
Louise
