Wokingham Choir Rehearsal Venue Trial
at St Crispins Atrium
Monday June 27th, 7.30pm

Many thanks, Wokingham Choir members, for your feedback relating to our trial rehearsal at Wokingham Baptist Church. Three main issues were flagged: the single toilet, lack of breakout space, and (for a small number) parking concerns. Having had further discussions, two of these issues would now be solved should we use the venue in the future: we would have access to the main toilets and a breakout space.

We now have the opportunity to try one more venue, which we previously considered last year: the Sixth Form block Atrium at St Crispins School, Wokingham (RG40 1SS)This is not the Science block where we used to rehearse, but the newer building, adjacent and further back towards the fields. We will have use of the main school car park (on the left), and two ground floor classrooms as breakout spaces. We will rehearse there for a single rehearsal, as a trial, next Monday June 27th at the normal time, 7.30pm.

After this, we will conduct a final survey to establish a preference for next term’s rehearsals, from three options: The Bradbury Centre, Wokingham Baptist Church, or St Crispin’s Atrium.

Covid measures

As Covid cases are currently on the rise, this is quick a reminder that mask-wearing is encouraged on entry/departure to rehearsals, as a precaution.

Sue Taylor

With sadness, we learnt the news that Sue Taylor passed away. Sue, a kind and gentle person, sang soprano with our Bracknell choir and helped on the front desk distributing music. Choir members sang Psalm 23 at her funeral on 20th June. Fond memories of a loyal supporter of Sing Healthy Choirs.
