We hope you have had a good Christmas break.
We look forward to starting back rehearsals on Monday January 6th for Wokingham Choir and Wednesday January 8th for Bracknell Choir at the usual times and places. Please see details below for music to bring along for the first few rehearsals. More will be added during the term.
For Bracknell Choir, we will be rehearsing towards a ‘Songs from the Shows’-themed concert on June 14th at St John’s Church Crowthorne with Liquorice Allsorts clarinet ensemble.
For Wokingham Choir, we will be rehearsing towards a concert which will include the full 30-minute long Vivaldi ‘Gloria’. We will also perform some shorter pieces including other Baroque and more recent Scottish folk song arrangements. This concert will also take place during the Summer term – organist Joshua Ryan will be joining us again and we should be able to confirm full details very shortly.
Lastly, a huge thank you to all who performed, volunteered for and attended our December 21st concert. We raised an incredible (almost exactly) £2000 for our nominated charity Thrive. We’re also delighted that CLASP joined us again and we were able to make a donation of £200 towards their costs.
Many thanks for your attention,
Louise
