Wokingham choir

Summer Soiree

Firstly, on behalf of all of us, a huge thank you! The choir sounded fantastic – thank you for bringing such a wonderful energy to the evening, especially in the very hot weather! I have heard more than one audience member say that it was once of the best concerts they have ever attended.

We greatly appreciate the support of singers and family members who helped in all kinds of ways – front of house, with refreshments, donating cakes, putting up banners, moving (incredibly heavy!) pews, and more. We are waiting on invoices for a final figure, but have raised at least £400 in proceeds for Thames Hospice.

Next rehearsal – Monday 8th July

Alison Roberts (Altos) is walking 26 miles for Macmillan on 20th July and hopes to increase her fundraising by baking cakes for Monday’s rehearsal break. We will suspend the usual tea collection money to support this cause – any donations will be much appreciated!

 

Bracknell choir

We are looking forward to our two summer events – please see final details below:

 10th Birthday Party – Wednesday 17th July

  • Please arrive c.7pm if you can to set-up/warm-up to sing at 7.30pm
  • No red polos or folders needed, just scores (listed below)
  • Please bring your own food/drink as you wish (no ‘bring and share’ this time)

Live at the Bandstand – Sunday 4th August

  • We will gather at the bandstand at 12.30pm to set-up, with performances at 1pm and 3pm
  • Please wear red polos and black bottoms; folders will be provided.
  • If the weather is good we recommend bringing a picnic for the gardens!
  • Please let Alison know if you are either able to offer, or are in need of, a car lift – this would be very helpful!
